<p class="Kommentar">Mit „L“ unterzeichnet. – Der Titel „Ossian fürs Frauenzimmer“ steht auf S. 163 über einer kurzen, vermutlich von Johann Georg Jacobi stammenden Einleitung. Die Übersetzung selbst ist, im Anschluß an einen „Vorbericht“ (S. 164f.), auf S. 166 mit einer zweiten Überschrift „Fingal, ein alt Gedicht von Ossian“ versehen. Die fünf Fortsetzungen des Abdrucks (2.-6. Gesang) tragen ausschließlich den „Fingal“-Titel.</p>
